Circuit Breakers Instead Of FusesDo you know what a circuit breaker is? A year ago I also didn’t know. I learned about circuit breakers only recently when I was reconstructing my house.

When I was putting the finishing touches on my house and was about to install fuses for regulating the electricity, my electrician mockingly announced that fuses were no longer in fashion. Instead he advised me to purchase circuit breakers. After doing some searching and learning about the way breakers work I acquired a Square D breaker.

Square D breakers are readily available and are very easy to fix. Besides, they really are very secure. Their function is simple. When there is a power surge, the breaker automatically turns off, thus ceasing the electrical flow. Due to breakers I have already avoided one or two serious fires.

Circuit breakers work in a very similar way as fuses do. The thing is that circuit breakers are much safer. Besides, when a fuses burns out you have to replace it. In the case of a breaker, you just have to flip the breaker switch from “off” position to the “on” position.

While searching for suitable breakers for my house I came across many breakers that really impressed me. Zinsco breakers and Cutler Hammer breakers are in high demand on the market. They are also available for purchase on the Internet.

I have already witnessed the advantages of circuit breakers myself, and I strongly advise homeowners to replace fuses with circuit breakers.
