Every toddler needs to eat 1000 calories per day. When planning a meal for your child consider what he/she should eat each day.
A child needs 2-3 cups of calcium (milk, yogurt and cheese), vitamin C and vitamin A. Fruits and vegetables will help. Bread, rice, pasta, cereal, meat, beans, eggs, tofu or peanut butter are very important to be included in their meal. A proportion of protein should be served with every meal.
When your child is eating stay with him/her, as it’s necessary for them to sit and not to lie down. Teach them not to talk with food in the mouth, and make sure they don’t walk or run.
It’s possible that they will reject eating a certain food but later they probably won’t mind eating it. So don’t give up.
If it’s difficult to feed your child then try to involve him/her in buying food and preparing it. In this case he/she will be interested in eating his/her own creation.
If you want your child to eat cookies, for instance lemon cookies then you can bake them in different shapes. The shapes can be his/her favorite characters: a toddler bear, car, plane and so on.
Take care of your child and try to give him/her a healthy meal.
