“The Vampire Diaries: The Return–Shadow Souls” by L. J. Smith, the second book in “The Vampire Diaries: The Return” series will be released in spring of 2010.
L. J. (Lisa Jane) Smith is a famous American author of books of different genres, mostly romance, fantasy, science fiction and horror. She is mostly famous for the “Night World” and “The Vampire Diaries” series, trilogies “The Secret Circle”, “The Forbidden Game” and “Dark Visions” and for her short stories.
“The Vampire Diaries” are a well-known series of fantasy fiction books. The first trilogy (“The Awakening,” “The Struggle” and “The Fury”) was published in 1991 and won the readers’ fame at once. In 1992 the fourth book (“Dark Reunion”) of the original series was written and published.
The continuation of “The Vampire Diaries,” “The Vampire Diaries: The Return” series were announced in 1998 only, and the first book from the new series, “Nightfall,” was published in February, 2009. “Shadow Souls” will continue the new series. The unending fight between good and evil, as well as the romance story that initially touched readers, will be continued in the new book.
The third book, “The Vampire Diaries: The Return–Midnight,” is going to be released in April, 2011.
