'Blood Cross' Coming In 2010“Blood Cross” by American fantasy writer Faith Hunter (Gwendolyn Faith Hunter), is going to be released in January 2010.

“Blood Cross” is an urban fantasy book, the second one in the Jane Yellowrock series. The first book (“Skinwalker”) was released in July 2009 and managed to attract fantasy-lovers’ attention. Unlike lots of other fantasy fiction books, the plot of “Skinwalker” takes place in modern America. The hero of these series is Jane Yellowrock — a Skinwalker, who can transform into different creatures and who hunts and kills vampires. Earlier Yellowrock has appeared in a short story “Signatures of the Dead,” published in the anthology “Strange Brew.”

Vampires and vampire hunters themes are very popular lately. Many fantasy books were written about the “children of night” who live feeding on blood, and about those who hunt and kill them. Vampires and their hunters appear in a number of films, animes and video games. You don’t have to think a lot to remember famous Van Helsing from “Dracula,” Leesil from “Saga of the Noble Dead,” or Alucard from the “Hellsing” anime series, or even Vampire Hunter D from the anime of the same name.

Ah, and let’s not forget one of my favorite characters – Geralt of Rivia from the book and game “The Witcher,” whose job is to hunt beasts, including vampires. No matter how many vampires and hunters are present in modern culture, this topic always remains popular, and vampire hunters were and perhaps are always will be interesting for readers.

The second book in the Jane Yellowrock series continues the adventures of vampire hunter Yellowrock. Now Jane has a task given by the council of vampires to get rid of a rogue vampire who has killed lots of other vampires…

Faith Hunter, also known as Gwen Hunter, is the author of a number of fantasy and mystics books: Rogue Mage series, Rhea DeLande Saga series, and many other books and non- fiction articles come from her pen.
