For centuries candles were the main source of lighting. Nowadays, their usage has significantly changed.
Candles are now used for setting a warm, romantic atmosphere. Sometimes they are used for basic lighting during an electrical power failure, which is a very rare case in the developing world.
Candles are usually made of paraffin, but since paraffin is expensive, the need for cheap candles arose. That’s why Michael Richards invented soy candles in 1992, as a cheap alternative to paraffin.
Natural candles are made from natural soybean oil. The advantages of soy candles are that they are not made of petroleum, while burning they do not intensify the carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere and they are non-toxic. Furthermore, they continue burning 50 percent longer than other candles.
Besides they are easily removed from furniture or dry goods. Soy candles can be washed with soap and hot water.
Candles can be of different shapes and sizes, depending on what they’re used for– birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, graduations, bridal showers, baby showers and so on. You can decorate your occasion with appropriate themed candles of your choice.
Colored candles can light up your special moments with fun, but remember that they do not burn for long. White candles burn faster than colored candles, as they do not contain chemical components in them.
Scented candles can set a warm, soft, charming and romantic atmosphere. You can choose your favorite flavor and spend a wonderful time with your beloved one.
