During our entire life we come across a lot of scents. We may enjoy them at the moment, but later we forget most of them and keep the ones with which we have connected memories. They usually make us think about good times we had or simply give our imagination a way to work.
Yet candles have another important feature besides giving light. Their fragrance is one of the main reasons why we buy them.
Shopping is not easy. It gets even more difficult when you enter a candle store. You’ll see rows of shelves and a large variety of colorful candles of different sizes on them. The aim is to chose the one that is just for you.
Firstly, take time to observe the place. Start from the nearest corner and move towards the other end of the store. The colors will give you hints. For instance, if you want your house to smell like chocolate, you most probably will not have to spend your time on the yellow or green candles. But if you have some free time and haven’t yet decided what exactly you are looking for, take your time to look at different candles and try to make an interesting combination from them.
Candles in yellow shades in most cases will have a scent of yellow-colored fruits, flowers, cream or honey. The green ones will make you feel surrounded by hundreds of trees, freshness and unlimited horizons of fields. Red candles, which are mostly used at Christmas, can be scented with strawberry, red roses and other red-colored flowers.
White candles are the classic ones. They are often used in churches and in weddings. The scented white colors usually have an airy aroma, like vanilla, daisy or jasmine.
After you discovered the aroma of a candle, it’s important that you take some time before trying another one, otherwise the scents will mix, and you will have some hard time trying to chose which one is better. You might want to ask the candle store workers for some help and see if they can show you the candles that have the scents you prefer.
Some of us have never thought of visiting a candle store from time to time, but it does have relaxing effect when you’re nervous or worried. After making a purchase in the candle store, the scent you just bought will help you calm down and have some rest after a long, tiring workday.
